Wood Pole Inspections
The main purpose for testing and treating wood poles is for safety and to extend their service life, reducing replacement costs for the power company. The testing and treatment of wood poles is performed above and below ground in order to detect and prevent decay from wood rot or structural damage from insects, both of which can lead to pole failure, and reduced worker and public safety. Scheduled test and treat programs reduce the number of poles that have to be replaced, and extends the service life of the wood poles.
Visual inspections of each pole visited provide the worker a safe work environment. They also provide the power company the information needed to fix issues that are beyond our scope of work (broken tie wires, insulators, missing hardware, etc.), at the top of the poles.
Western Wood Services is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for its employees. Our objective is to provide quality service while eliminating accidental injury and industrial disease to people, and damage to the environment, property, and equipment.
